Maastricht, Netherlands - December 13, 2012
ChemPoint.com ("ChemPoint"), one of the leading technology-enabled distributors of fine and specialty chemicals, and Dow Wolff Cellulosics, a division of The Dow Chemical Company, announced today that their distribution agreement for POLYOX™ Water Soluble Resins has been expanded to include Central-Eastern Europe and Turkey. As of October 1, ChemPoint manages order placement and fulfillment, and will also provide technical assistance and support. ChemPoint is a major distributor of POLYOX™ in Europe and Turkey for select industrial applications.
"ChemPoint has been a trusted and valuable partner with the POLYOX™ product line for many years. We’re excited to expand our relationship with ChemPoint, allowing us to more effectively service our geographically-diverse customers, markets, and opportunities in Eastern Europe" explained Jennifer Casazza, Global Strategic Marketing Leader, Industrial Solutions for Dow Wolff Cellulosics.
POLYOX™ Water Soluble Resins are nonionic, water-soluble poly (ethylene oxide) polymers. With very high molecular weights, they are viscoelastic, which facilitates their aqueous solutions to reduce potential spattering and misting. POLYOX™ resins deliver excellent binding, thickening, lubricity, water retention, and film-formation performance for pharmaceuticals, personal care and cleaning products, mining, building materials, paper, and many more specialty applications.
"We are delighted that Dow Wolff Cellulosics has chosen to extend our partnership for POLYOX™ Water Soluble Resins. This expansion is a testament to the distinctive market development and technical sales capabilities ChemPoint brings to Dow Wolff Cellulosics and the POLYOX™ line," says Dennis Schmeits, ChemPoint’s EMEA Regional Business Director. "We look forward to further strengthening our strategic partnership with Dow Wolff Cellulosics in the future".
Dow Wolff Cellulosics also selected ChemPoint as the primary distributor of its ANTISOL™ Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC) Polymers for water-drilling applications in Western Europe earlier this year.
ChemPoint is a preferred distributor of more than 150 product lines, to more than 11,000 customers worldwide.
