SI-LINK™ AC Passes IEC Specification Test

SI-LINK™ AC crosslinkable PE passes the stringent tensile and elongation seven-day 60502-1 heat aging test at 135°C as required by the IEC, providing high-performance results for global customers who focus on high-quality cables. Designed for low voltage (LV) power applications, SI-LINK AC is a scorch-resistant, fast-curing moisture-crosslinkable insulation system. In addition to improved scorch resistance, SI-LINK AC is designed to achieve significantly faster cure rates in all conditions, including ambient, and offers improved surface quality and appearance, while reducing scrap. SI-LINK AC (flame retardant version) is also approved by Underwriters Laboratories for horizontal burn.

Scorch-resistant technology in SI-LINK™ AC (shown in the upper cable) improves insulation surface quality and appearance and reduces scrap.

SI-LINK AC provides the same cleanliness, ease of addition, processability and performance that cable manufacturers worldwide achieve with conventional SI-LINK crosslinkable silane-ethylene copolymer systems from Dow Wire & Cable.
