As I reflect on the Dow Wire & Cable business and how it will continue to evolve in 2007, one word comes to mind. Focus. In today's global economy, it's tempting to try to do everything for everybody. However, something always seems to be missing from companies that lack focus on their business, their customers and their markets.
At Dow Wire & Cable, we're constantly sharpening our focus. We're better at segmenting our resources to meet the unique challenges and opportunities in our global end-user markets, and we're reorganizing our team structure to provide additional leadership at key global locations. Simon Leung has just been named to the position of End Use Market Manager. In this new role, Simon will concentrate on the end users of finished wire and cable goods, working with them to establish performance standards for the emerging power delivery infrastructure. He brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to this position and we believe our end users and customers in that region will be glad to meet him.
We're identifying more and more customers who can benefit from our materials and experience and we're finding new ways to provide service and support. For example, our supply of high voltage insulation materials will increase with the expansion of our European operations and we expect additional potential from facilities in Japan.
Quality standards are high. Testing at various customer locations and industry labs is showing that Dow Wire & Cable materials deliver sustainable long-life performance in real-world conditions. And we feel confident that we're addressing the wire and cable industry with a clear focus on helping end users capitalize on evolving technologies. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to working with you and wish you a successful 2007.
Best wishes,

C.C. Tan
