Stabilize Processes and Polymers
VERSENE™ Chelating Agents are widely used in the polymerization of suspension, emulsion, and solution polymers. They can act as metal ion reservoirs in metal-catalyzed polymerization reactions, providing an equilibrium-driven, well-controlled catalyst concentration which results in improved polymer molecular weight distribution and particle size distribution. Small amounts of VERSENE™ Chelating Agents can stabilize finished polymers by controlling metal ions that cause polymer breakdown, discoloration, poor heat and light stability, and other undesirable effects. VERSENE™ Na Disodium EDTA and VERSENE™ CA Chelating Agents may be used in polymers intended for food contact applications.
