VERSENE™ Chelating Agents are employed extensively in metalworking areas, from the preparation and cleaning of metal surfaces to the final finishing and plating operations. They can be used to prepare metal surfaces for plating, to clean oxides from iron, copper, and brass, and to prevent streaking after pickling. VERSENE™ Chelating Agents also provide effective control of contaminating metal ions in plating baths, and they are also used in electrolyte formulations for conventional and immersion metal plating, as well as electroless plating of circuit boards. VERSENE™ 100 Chelating Agent has been shown to enhance the antimicrobial activity of preservatives in metalworking fluids.
