Blade Dynamics has developed wind turbine blade technologies designed to increase efficiency and performance of wind turbines, while also reducing costs. Clean Filtration Technologies

Clean Filtration Technologies, Inc. (CFT) engineers efficient, next-generation water treatment technology. CFT produces the CFT Turboclone™ hydroclone system, a patented water filtration device designed to efficiently reduce total suspended solids from difficult-to-filter water. This technology offers the potential to further support sustainable operations across the industry. This investment is strategically aligned to enable and accelerate business growth for Dow Water & Process Solutions.

Lightscape Materials, Inc.

Lightscape Materials, Inc. is developing and supplying a variety of high-quality novel phosphor solutions engineered specifically for the LED lighting industry. LED lighting is an emerging technology that is expected to change the landscape of lighting in the 21st century. Dow’s investment in this technology aligns to the strategic growth interests of the Dow Electronic Materials business which has been an important player in the solid-state lighting market for over 35 years.

NuvoSun

NuvoSun is a second-generation innovator of thin-film photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules based on flexible Copper Indium/Gallium di-Selenide (CIGS) technology and an ultra-low cost proprietary manufacturing process and equipment. Dow's investment in NuvoSun is one of several examples of Dow investing in alternative energy technologies both internally and externally to ensure that innovative products deliver superior value for our customers now and into the future. NuvoSun is one of many companies developing technology to increase the performance and lower the cost of PV devices, and their effort to improve large-scale, thin-film CIGS production processes provides yet another potential option to enable future generation Dow products.

WaterHealth International

WaterHealth International provides access to safe, affordable WHO-quality water for underserved communities. WaterHealth has developed a unique low-cost business model for the operations, maintenance and quality monitoring of small, decentralized community water purification plants (WaterHealth Centers). This business model enables WaterHealth to provide highly reliable, sustainable access to safe water.
