Dow Announces a Price Increase for Vinyl Acetate Monomer in All Regions
Midland, MI - September 09, 2005
Dow has announced a price increase for vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) in all regions of the world, effective October 1, 2005.
This announcement is in addition to the previous price increase that became effective September 15, 2005. With today's increase, Dow will raise list and off-list selling prices as follows:
- in Latin America, US$80 per metric ton, for a combined increase of US$180 per metric ton;
- in the Pacific, US$80 per metric ton, for a combined increase of US$180 per metric ton;
- in Europe, 65 Euros per metric ton, for a combined increase of 145 Euros per metric ton;
- in the Middle East and Africa, US$80 per metric ton, for a combined increase of US$180 per metric ton;
- in the U.S.A. and Canada, $.035 per pound, for a combined increase of $.08 per pound,
- or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms.
