Investment Allowances and Subsidies

HaendeInvestments in the new federal states of Germany are funded by the respective state governments, the federal government of Germany and the European Union. They primarily aim to create and secure permanent and qualified jobs in the region.

Funding is primarily awarded as follows:

  • Investment subsidies: within the framework of the funding program ”Improving regional business structures” (under the 36th framework plan)
  • Investment allowances: (under the revised 2010 Investment Allowance Act of December 07, 2008)

According to current legislation, which runs until the end of 2013, funding is provided to both small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as to large companies. The potential funding level depends on factors such as company size, investment location, investment and start investing.
