DOW SYMBIO™ Bio-Hydraulic Fluid Officially Listed On The USDA “BioPreferred” List
Midland, MI - June 24, 2009 The Dow Chemical Company Performance Fluids business' new DOW SYMBIO™ Bio-Hydraulic Fluid is now officially listed on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) "BioPreferred" web site. According to the USDA web site: "The BioPreferred program aims to increase the purchase and use of renewable, environmentally friendly, bio-based products while providing "green" jobs and new markets for farmers, manufacturers and vendors. The BioPreferred program offers three major benefits: climate change impact reduction; energy/environmental security, and economic development." (http://www.biopreferred.gov) DOW SYMBIO™ Bio-Hydraulic Fluid DOW SYMBIO™ Bio-Hydraulic Fluid is the first chemistry of its kind to combine the renewable and biodegradable characteristics of high oleic canola oil with the excellent deposit control (non-sludging) thermo-oxidative and hydrolytic stability characteristics of polyalkylene glycol (PAG) while meeting and exceeding most environmental requirements.
