Dow Community Grant Provides Patio Cover for Norco Adult Day Care St. Charles, LA - April 21, 2006
The clients at the Norco Adult Day Care now have it "made in the shade," thanks to a $3,000 Community Grant from Dow. On Friday, April 21st, the new patio cover for the Norco Adult Day Care was dedicated. The new cover enables senor citizens to be dropped off at the facility without getting wet when it's raining... and it also gives them the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of the shade. Norco Adult Day Care Administrative Assistant Maida Botts-Camp said the new patio cover is a real blessing for the clients. "They've been sitting out on the patio and enjoying the beautiful weather without getting too hot. They really like being able to get outdoors into the fresh air. The cover even kept everyone dry when a short rain shower popped up during our dedication ceremony, so we're already putting it to great use," commented Botts-Camp. The Norco Adult Day Care has been has been helping senior citizen clients and their families in St. Charles Parish for the past 19 years. The grant used for the patio cover was part of the Dow Community Grants Program. St. Charles Operations is owned by Union Carbide Corporation, which is a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company.
