Dow’s Golf Tournament raises more than $17,000 for the United Way

Hahnville, LA - October 05, 2004

Dow held its third annual United Way Golf Tournament at the Riverlands Country Club in LaPlace on September 27. More than 200 golfers and 30 employee volunteers from St. Charles Operations participated in the event, which raised more than $17,000 for the United Way of St. Charles Parish.

The golf tournament is one of several fundraising activities that Dow employees plan as part of an annual campaign to raise money for the United Way. Thanks to sponsors of the event, the golfers were served a variety of food and refreshments, including fried catfish, barbecue, and more.

The four-man scramble golf tournament consisted of morning and afternoon sessions that awarded teams and individuals for placement and skills with an assortment of prizes such as rounds of golf at various courses and gift certificates to golf stores. Winners from the Dow Golf Tournament included:
