Dow sponsors local students for Presidential Classroom

Hahnville, LA - June 23, 2004

St. Charles Operations will sponsor two local students headed to Washington D.C. July 10 - 17 in the 2004 Presidential Classroom Scholars Program to attend the Future World Leaders Summit. The Future World Leaders Summit will bring together students from around the world to explore international relations, diplomacy and the changing world economy.

The recipients of Dow’s 2004 Presidential Classroom scholarships are Aaron Larkin of Destrehan High School and Za’hra Dabon of Hahnville High School.

To participate, students were required to attend school in St. Charles Parish; have a “B” or higher average, or rank in the top 25 percent of their class; and show commitment to community or school involvement.
