The York Center opened in 1992 as a Customer Service Center and has since grown to include many other functions. Activities are primarily in supply chain management and customer service activities for the Industrial Performance Chemicals, Ethylene Oxide Glycol, Specialty Polymers and Products, and Solvents, Intermediates and Monomers strategic planning units (SPU). But the site also hosts Human Resource Management (including medical department), Sales and Pricing Data Administration, Inside Sales and Sales Support, as well as Corporate Customer Complaint Management.
