Effective April 1, 2003, Amerchol Corporation, a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, will increase all list and off-list prices globally for several product lines for the personal care industry as follows: UCARE™ polymers by 3 percent; Methyl Glucosides by 5 percent; Lanolins and Lanolin Derivatives by 10 percent; UCON™ fluids by 3 percent; POLYOX™ water-soluble resins by 3 percent; CELLOSIZE™ hydroxyethyl cellulose by 3 percent; PROMULGEN™ D and PROMULGEN G by 3 percent; KYTAMER™ by 3 percent; Propal by 3 percent; Promyr by 10 percent; AMEROXOL™ products by 3 percent; and Cetal Cetyl NF and Stearal Stearyl NF by 3 percent. The company issued its most recent increase - a 5% increase for its QUATRISOFT™ LM-200 products globally - on January 1, 2003.
According to Denise Elias, global marketing manager for Amerchol, "We are increasing our prices in order to support the continued investment in our products, processes, and product development."
