UCAR Latex 123 UCAR™ Latex 123 is a high-solids styrene-acrylic binder that combines high adhesion with unusually high resistance to water and alkali. Its primary application area is in elastomeric weather-barrier coatings. Coatings formulated from UCAR Latex 123 exhibit excellent adhesion to a variety of architectural substrates, including wood, low- and medium-density urethane foam, aluminum, and concrete. The polymer's high alkali resistance allows its use over "green" cement or block fillers. Coatings attain water resistance quickly after application and will achieve and maintain desirable properties under extreme drying conditions.
