An important part of your job is to formulate products that deliver the performance your customers need, while meeting both regulatory requirements and the broader
goals of your company’s sustainability program. At UCAR Emulsion Systems and
Monomers we share your commitment, and have initiated an innovative program
to help you succeed. Products from UCAR Emulsion Systems and Monomers that display the EnVIA trade name have passed our rigorous certification program to ensure they are suitable for use in formulations for sustainable paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants and construction products.
All products that are certified as part of our EnVIA program will meet these key requirements:
- Have no added alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APEO) surfactants
- Have no added formaldehyde or formaldehyde donors
- Have total latex VOC < 5 g/L
- Are below regulatory reporting limits for carcinogens, reproductive toxins and ozone depleting compounds**
- Have Low residual monomer levels
- Minimize use of Hazardous Substances
- Green Seal™ hazardous components < 0.01% by per component*
- California Prop 65 substances are minimized and documented with data available upon request
- Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS) < 0.1%
- No known added phthalates, triphenyl or tributyl tins, 1,2 – dichlorobenzene
