UCAR Latex 9042 UCAR™ Latex 9042 is a pressure sensitive acrylic emulsion designed to be used as a base for general-purpose Electronic Data Processing (EDP) labels. It can be formulated to be applied with a variety of coaters on various substrates. By formulating with tackifiers, this product can be modified to meet the varied peel and tack requirements of general-purpose
and bottle label applications. UCAR Latex 9042 features the following performance characteristics:
- Excellent balance of peel, tack, and cohesive strength
- Outstanding adhesion to corrugated boxboard
- Superior clarity and water white color
- Wetting of low-energy surfaces like corona-treated polyolefins
- Low foaming when applied under high line speed conditions
- Excellent flow and leveling
- Conformance to FDA 21CFR175.105
- Good response to tackifiers
These features make UCAR Latex 9042 useful for applications ranging from clear and pigmented OPP overlaminates, EDP labels, and general purpose permanent labels to clear
bottle labels.
