UCAR Latex 629 The latest addition to the UESM product line is UCAR™ Latex 629, a 100% acrylic polymer designed for low VOC applications. It offers the coatings chemist the ability to formulate high performance, low VOC semigloss to flat, interior and exterior paints. Critical properties such as low temperature coalescence (LTC), gloss, and wet adhesion are balanced with formulating latitude and exterior durability. UCAR Latex 629 is designed to meet the higher performance requirements of semigloss and satin paints. This includes superior wet adhesion functionality that makes it suitable for imparting wet adhesion to vinyl acrylic latexes through blending. Unlike most 100% acrylic latexes, UCAR Latex 629 is supplied at 55% solids, thus making it more compatible with slurry formulations.
