UCAR Latex 627 UCAR™ Latex 627 is a 100% acrylic binder that effectively blocks stains from substrates that tend to exude tannins. When properly formulated, UCAR Latex 627 provides the following:
- Zinc oxide stability (20-lb minimum is recommended for optimum stain blocking and mildew resistance)
- Freeze-thaw and heat-aged stabilities
- Wet adhesion to gloss alkyd
- Dry adhesion to latex chalk and aluminum
- Tannin stain resistance over redwood and cedar
- Interior stain resistance
- New cost/performance price point
