UCAR Latex 354

UCAR™ Latex 354 can be used as a binder along with a cellulose ether as a thickener to produce cost effective Tape Joint Compounds. With 60% solids and a Tg of 27 °C, UCAR Latex 354 meets the binding performance of vinyl acetate homopolymers typically used in this area. Dow’s METHOCEL* and CELLOSIZE™ hydroxyethyl cellulose (for example, METHOCEL 240S, METHOCEL J 75 MS-N, CELLOSIZE DCS HV, etc.) are excellent as thickeners in Tape Joint Compounds.
