UCAR Latex 154S UCAR™ Latex 154S is a high solids, self-crosslinking acrylic binder with excellent quick set and a high degree of wet tack. While it is primarily used as a binder for sealant applications, this latex can also be used to formulate barrier coatings, construction adhesives, contact adhesives, and pressure sensitive adhesives. UCAR Latex 154S is an enhancement of UCAR Latex 154, a standard in the sealant and adhesive industry for many years. Only the latex stabilization system has been changed.
UCAR Latex 154S can also be used without formulation as a contact adhesive, but the addition of certain phenolic dispersions will enhance green strength and improve elevated temperature performance.
