In Deer Park, we're always looking for ways to improve communication with our neighbors and other stakeholders and become involved in the community. Our community programs advance the economic, social and environmental quality of life in the local community through company giving, employee volunteerism, community dialogue and other outreach activities. We take pride in generously supporting community programs and organizations that help make Deer Park a better place to live, work and play. Our contributions to the Deer Park Education Foundation allow area teachers to offer innovative, hands-on programs that are outside the boundaries of the normal campus budgets, enriching the educational experience for our students. For many years, we’ve been a major supporter of the San Jacinto Monument and Museum, helping this historical local treasure further instill Texan pride. For 24 years, we have hosted an art contest for junior and senior high students in the area, encouraging them to learn more about the positive aspects of chemistry in everyday life. Students translate what they learn into impressive pieces of art, and each year, the work of 12 winning students is displayed in a calendar that our site produces for employees, residents and organizations in the local community. We partner with our local businesses through the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce, and we engage in regular, open dialogue with our resident neighbors through our active participation in the Deer Park Community Advisory Council.
