Dow Europe GmbH (formerly known as Dow Europe S.A.), Dow’s main European arm, was founded in 1974 in Horgen. Today, around 650 people work in the following departments: Marketing and Sales, Human Resources, Management Accounting, Finance, Legal and Public Affairs and Research and Development (R&D).
Dow’s R&D department is centred on two principal goals: accelerate the development of customer applications in key regions and pursue new market opportunities.
In 2001, an administrative site was established for Dow AgroSciences in Horgen.
