ISOCAST R polyisocyanurate insulation (ASTM C 1289 Type I) features a triplex aluminum/poly facer that makes it virtually moisture resistant. It has no exposed metallic facings that are susceptible to corrosion or chemical reaction with the concrete, as the aluminum facer is completely covered by a poly layer. Plus, ISOCAST R polyisocyanurate insulation offers superior economical thermal performance under the harsh vapor drive conditions often exhibited in precast concrete panels in cold climates. Boards of ISOCAST R polyisocyanurate insulation are lightweight and easy to handle, cut and install.
