Concealed roofing systems require insulation to improve the energy efficiency of the roof assembly. Dow Building Materials† provides you with several excellent options when looking for insulation for your concealed roof application. STYROFOAM™ Square Edge insulation provides superior water resistance, long-term R-value and high compressive strength needed in today's concealed applications. Ideal for over concrete or metal decks with covers of membrane and standing seam. HY-THERM™ AP insulation has organic/inorganic facers that work well with conventional BUR systems and it can also be used with concrete or metal decking and most SSR systems. Our aluminum foil faced products such as THERMAX™ and VALUE-R™ help provide a reflective surface to slow the radiant energy through the roof surface. They also provide excellent heat flow characteristics especially when used in conjunction with Standing Seam Roofing (SSR). Both can be used on concrete or metal decking.

| Higher strength insulation makes the product more durable and moisture resistant. The 25 psi (3,600 psf) makes product suitable for normal loading situations. Can be used in areas with expected live loads of 5psi (720 psf) and dead loads of 8.3 psi (1,195 psf). (see your Dow representative for specific load vs. product recommendations) |
