Radiant floor heating directs heat upward into the room. To ensure effective operation of the system, particularly for under-slab floor designs, insulation is an important consideration. Properly insulating radiant floor systems makes it possible to provide maximum comfort at minimum cost. Installing STYROFOAM™ extruded polystyrene insulation helps direct radiant floor heat upward into the room. Apply it in upper floors in new construction or over the slab in a retrofit situation. Dow Building Solutions† offers a number of STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene products with high compressive strength to satisfy a variety of loading situations, and superior moisture resistance to provide long-term R-value for radiant floor-over slab applications.
