Wood framing makes up about 25% of a building's walls. Insulating only the cavity means 25% of the wall surface is left uninsulated. A continuous layer of STYROFOAM™ extruded polystyrene insulation installed directly over the studs, or over OSB, or other uninsulated sheathing reduces energy loss. And, it can reduce the potential for condensation and resulting moisture problems in the walls. All STYROFOAM insulation products are lightweight and easy to install.
