Rolling River Blitz Build

Baton Rouge/Plaquemine, LA — April 20 – 26, 2002

Dow's EDC/VCM and ECU Management business, working with Dow Louisiana Operations and the Vinyl Partners for Humanity, built one of seven homes at the April 20-26 Rolling River Blitz Build in the Greater Baton Rouge and Plaquemine area. The Dow Chemical Company Foundation provided funding to sponsor the home, located in Plaquemine. Dow also donated STYROFOAM* extruded polystyrene insulation for all seven homes, continuing the company's commitment to Habitat's More Than Houses: Rebuilding Our Communities campaign.

The vinyl industry provided vinyl building products, including siding, for the project. Pledging $1 million over five years to More Than Houses as well, the industry is carrying out its commitment through Vinyl Partners for Humanity, a collaboration of manufacturers of vinyl chloride, vinyl resin, additives, stabilizers and compound as well as fabricators of building and construction products.
