The Numbers Are In.

This just in – the 25/50 numbers are back. With a modified fabrication process and an environmentally friendly blowing agent, the new TRYMER™ 25/50 System* is now the only polyisocyanurate pipe insulation system with a third-party laboratory listing of 25/50 flame spread/smoke developed index up to and including 1.5" thickness**. This innovative system from Dow not only meets commercial pipe insulation needs of today, but also the International Mechanical Code requirements for fire rating in the return air plenum.

In order to meet regulations implemented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency based on the Clean Air Act, Dow has replaced the blowing agent used in all of its polyisocyanurate insulations with hydrocarbons instead of HCFCs. This environmentally friendly process helps preserve today’s world for future generations.

We are also proud to announce that new TRYMER™ 2000 XP insulation meets the 25/50 flame spread/smoke developed index up to and including 1.0" thickness. For thicknesses up to 6.0", TRYMER 2000 XP meets 25/450 FS/SD.

The TRYMER 25/50 System augments the best qualities of TRYMER 2000 XP polyisocyanurate insulation with SARAN™ 540 Vapor Retarder Film, Trycoat 400 fire-resistant coating, SARAN™ 520 Vapor Retarder Tape and Venture 3693 FLE/FR self-seal-lap tape – for a system that delivers excellent performance and value.
