An international school in Beijing used STYROFOAM* Brand Insulation in a wide variety of German building technology applications. A total of 1,500m3 of STYROFOAM brand insulation board was used for gymnasium floor and wall, foundation wall and roofing.
Its gymnasium used 50mm-thick WALLMATE* CW Insulation for the interior wall insulation and 40mm-thick FLOORMATE* 200 Insulation for the floor.
The foundation was insulated by two layers of 50mm-thick STYROFOAM Brand Insulation. It protects the exterior waterproof membrane and provides long-term thermal insulation.
Its concrete slab roof was insulated by a total of 125mm-thick ROOFMATE* SL Insulation in a ballasted roofing system.
