Reprographic toners are the dry inks used in the majority of existing copy machines. Divinylbenzene has been used in the polymerization of some toner resins, imparting enhanced melt properties.

Inkjet printers generally use anionic water based inks. Vinylbenzyl chloride may be used to synthesize cationic polymers to be used as a mordant for the anionic dyes in inkjet ink. The mordant "fixes" the dye to the coated substrate (e.g. paper) by forming an insoluble compound through reaction of the cationic and anionic sites.

Let's work together to explore innovative concepts for their use.
