Why MAXISTAB Stabilisers are important in metal cleaning/degreasing systems: All chlorinated solvents contain application-specific stabilisers to avoid acidification. During normal use, the stabiliser concentration in the solvent decreases slowly. This may have different causes. Continuous heating of the solvent, exposure to oxygen, metal residue in the machine, and the type of oil pollution being cleaned can all contribute to a decrease in stabiliser concentration.Though a decrease in stabiliser concentration is normal, it should be closely watched! If the concentration is too low, acids can be produced, which can cause corrosion to the machine and the parts to be cleaned. Keeping the stabiliser concentration in the right operating range is easy with MAXICHECK™ Solvent Analysis Test Kits and the MAXISTAB™ stabilisers. The test kits allow for rapid and effective control of the solvent stabilisation and provide information on re-stabilisation. MAXISTAB stabilisers are then used to re-stabilise the solvent and protect your valuable cleaning equipment. MAXICHECK and MAXISTAB enable you to protect your investment and extend the life of your cleaning solvent. ®™* Trademark of The Dow Chemical Company ("Dow") or an affiliated company of Dow |
