SAFE-TAINER System
The SAFE-TAINER™ system represents the Best Available Technology (BAT), when used with VOC-compliant degreasing or cleaning equipment. This state-of-the-art, closed-loop solvent delivery system is used by more than 3,500 customers across Europe. The SAFE-TAINER system ensures the safe and sustainable use of chlorinated solvents by fulfilling all legislative requirements regulating the use of these solvents.

The SAFE-TAINER closed-loop system is backed by service, technical support and the experience of specialists at SAFECHEM Europe GmbH and Dow, and by our Qualified Chemical Distribution Partners.

The SAFE-TAINER System consists of:


  
Lock
Lockable SAFE-TAINER
Two separate, specially designed containers
One SAFE-TAINER for fresh and one SAFE-TAINER for used solvent. Each container is delivered with a standard drum inside. The steel container protects the drum, preventing damage or spills. A special base construction allows easy transport with a forklift truck or pallet lifter. Both containers can be locked.

Special leak-free dry-break connector
Special leak-free, dry-break couplings prevent spills and vapour emissions during solvent transfer to the cleaning machine. When transferring used solvent from the cleaning machine to the SAFE-TAINER container, a dry-break coupling adapter and a vapour return connection prevent emissions.

Accessories
Accessories are available for the connection to all types of cleaning machines. Special solvent hoses have been designed for use with harsh chemicals and are suitable for handling trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene and methylene chloride.

Service and support
Service and support are available from our experienced specialists to assist with the safe use of chlorinated solvents in this closed-loop delivery system. Our Qualified Chemical Distribution Partners in your area will be happy to assist you with finding the best technical and economical solution.

In addition to the standard SAFE-TAINER™ system, a special, smaller and lighter version of the SAFE-TAINER system is available for those dry cleaning facilities where the size and weight of the equipment are important criteria.
