Flexibility, Productivity and Sustainability of Cleaning ProcessMost industrial cleaning processes need to provide flexibility to achieve acceptable results for a wide range of different cleaning applications. This is because cleaning different substrate materials, like metals, plastics or a combination of the two, could pose different requirements. Equally, size matters as does the type and amount of contamination – be it oil, wax, emulsion residue or particles – and finally the cleanliness specifications. An excellent cleaning system set-up for a single, specific cleaning job may be rendered ineffective when substrate, soil or cleaning requirements are modified. In this respect, solvent-based cleaning operations in general are more flexible and demonstrate significant strength compared to aqueous-based cleaning.
