A New Way to Manage Sound
QUASH™ sound management foam with large, closed cells absorb sound more efficiently than traditional porous, fibrous or open cell materials in low to medium frequency ranges.

How it Works
The large cells absorb sound through a membrane mechanism, where a sound wave causes vibration of the surface cell walls that, in turn, induces vibration of the internal cell walls. The sound dissipates into heat by the motion of air molecules in the cavities. QUASH foam is revolutionary in the dual absorption that takes place in the cell walls.

The Advantages of Using QUASH
QUASH has the ability to absorb low- to medium- frequency sounds (<2,000 Hz). These low frequencies are the most difficult sounds to be absorbed, meaning that unreasonably thick foam would be required with products other than QUASH. And QUASH foam is more structurally rigid than other foams.

Unique Characteristics

  • Due to its mechanical strength QUASH can be installed as self-supported panels by utilizing mechanical fasteners and clips.
  • QUASH products can also be easily bent, which enables them to be easily installed on contoured surfaces.
