VORATRON* Industrial Adhesives, Encapsulants and Chemical Compositions are used in the production of elastomers and casting resins for electronic and electrical insulation. Dow offers a comprehensive range of two component polyurethane systems for low & medium voltage applications, including cable joints: these are fully formulated, ready to use, solvent free systems.

The line of VORATRON products includes halogen-free flame retarded versions, meeting the UL 94 V-O specification requirements. Moreover recent developments have led to VORATRON products showing improved compatibility, higher thermal conductivity, and controlled reactivity profile. Dow's portfolio includes systems for cable joints, which due to the particular processing technique, are characterized by specific requirements especially regarding hydrophobic properties and hydrolytic stability.
