The most recent community opinion survey conducted in October 2004 by an independent pollster, at the request of Dow Texas Operations, revealed that 84 percent of those polled responded that overall they felt favorable toward Dow. The random survey, conducted by telephone, was comprised of 600 adult respondents in the Brazosport area. Factors cited as influences on favorability included community involvement, employment opportunities and economic benefits to the community. The next community perception survey will be conducted in late 2007.
