Leaks, Breaks and Spills

Loss of primary containment (LOPC) incidents such as leaks, breaks and spills have been reduced by more than 76 percent since 1994. The number of events in 2005 was negatively impacted due to the shutdown of the site for Hurricane Rita.

Process Safety Code Incidents

The number of process safety incidents at Texas Operations in 2005 was the lowest in the site’s history. Incidents have decreased by more than 68 percent from 2003 and by 80 percent since 1996.
