Our site’s commitment to excellence in environmental, health and safety performance remains our primary focus. Having completed my first year as Site Leader of the Seadrift site, it is evident to me that each and every employee is committed to safely producing the products that make our lives better.

The site continues to focus on improvements in the areas of environment, health and safety. In 2006, Seadrift Operations reported a 90% decrease in safety incidents and an 88% improvement in leaks, breaks and spills from the 1994 base reporting year.

Calhoun County is a wonderful place to work, and we feel both privileged to be part of this community and committed to protecting and supporting it. Seadrift Operations is owned and operated by Union Carbide Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company.
