Waste

Despite the startup of a new facility on site, and an overall increase in production from the site of over 25%, a significant decrease in waste intensity (pounds of waste per pound of production) was achieved in 2006.

Note: Reporting begins with 1999 because that was the first year information could be translated from UCC reporting standards to Dow standard.

Waste Water

The overall volume of waste water for 2006 increased from 2005. This is directly related to an increase in production volume and production run time of several facilities on site in 2006. Additionally, a new plant startup in 2006 generated additional waste water for the site. The overall trend from 2002 to 2006 shows a decrease in total waste water volume for the site.
