In 2006, SCO achieved a Best Ever performance for the site. There was a step change improvement in Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) performance in 2006 with only 21 events for the site. This improvement has been driven though the continued use of the LOPC Improvement Tools as well as the Maintenance Work Processes to improve reliability and integrity of equipment.

Process Safety Incidents

There were only 2 Process Safety Code/Reactive Chemical Events in 2006. This is a step change improvement vs. 2005. Efforts continue to drive improvements in operating discipline and improvement in maintenance work processes that will help to decrease the potential for process safety incidents.

Note: Reporting begins with 1999 because that was the first year information could be translated from UCC reporting standards to Dow standard.
