A Name for the Game
In October 2006, the new name for the Michigan Baseball Foundation’s Minor League Baseball stadium was announced. Employees selected “Dow Diamond” as the name, in recognition of the signature red diamond that has been the company’s logo and brand for more than 100 years.
The Midland stadium is the home of the Great Lakes Loons single-A Minor League Baseball team.
During the day-long celebration, Michigan Operations and Corporate Headquarters employees and their families were treated to nine innings of baseball fun on a temporary field, baseball-themed food, family games, and entertainment.
