Letter from the Site Leader — David Dupre
In 2006, Dow’s Michigan Operations received new business investments and continued to enjoy economic prosperity.
Operating safely continues to be our most important priority. This report describes our efforts toward making Michigan Operations the safest manufacturing facility in the Dow world. Our “Drive to Zero” program helps us focus on driving our injury and safety incident rate to zero and asks employees to recommit themselves to important safety initiatives. The good news is that our safety performance greatly improved in 2006 – thanks to the hard work of our employees.
We’re now working on our 2015 Sustainability Goals, which include the areas of product impact, our responsibilities to the communities where we operate, and our overall impact on the world.
I started my role as vice president of Michigan Operations in July 2006. Since that time, I have been pleased to see the true commitment of our employees to safety, the environment, and the community.
I invite you to review this report to learn more about our site’s effort to be a good corporate citizen and neighbor. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our continued success, and we look forward to working together to make Michigan Operations the best manufacturing site at Dow.
David Dupre
Vice President of Michigan Operations
