A Look at Our Site . . . Birthplace of The Dow Chemical Company

Drawn to Midland, Michigan, for its natural brine resources, the young Herbert Henry Dow built his first brine well here, more than 100 years ago. Today, Michigan Operations encompasses 1,900 acres, 550 buildings, more than 30 production plants, and centralized research and development facilities. The site also is home to Dow's main Research & Development campus.

Our employees help produce plastics, agricultural products and specialty chemicals to meet the needs of many of Dow’s global customers in the automotive, agricultural, paper, pharmaceutical and bioscience industries.
