In order to gauge how the community feels about Dow and respond to their suggestions, a survey is conducted. The last survey, conducted in 2005, showed that 76 percent of those polled felt favorable toward Dow. Factors cited as influences on favorability included community involvement, employment opportunities and economic reasons. The random survey, conducted by telephone, included 900 adult respondents. Three hundred each represented Iberville, West Baton Rouge & East Baton Rouge parishes. The results were weighted by parish and by race.
