Louisiana Operations has reduced spills by over 70 percent since 1994. Continued efforts in six sigma quality improvement projects, behavior-based performance improvement as well as systematic inspection and repair programs will continue to result in improved performance.

Process Safety Incidents

Performance in the number of process safety events was best ever in 2006. Continued focus on equipment inspection and repair programs as well as efforts toward improving operating discipline and training will drive on-going improvement in this key performance area.
