Houston Operations is one of a number of companies very active with the La Porte Community Advisory Panel (CAC). The site manager and Environmental Health and Safety leader attend the meetings that are held once a month. These meetings provide citizens the opportunity to learn more about plant operations and safety performance.

In 2006, the La Porte CAC reviewed and discussed a number of topics including Hurricane Preparedness and evacuation procedures at the plants. The CAC reviewed emissions reports from plants and discussed the improvements to emergency response plans.
