Community Investments
Michigan Operations has a strong history of support for many different community organizations, groups and charities. In 2005, Michigan Operations continued its support of the local community, including the following highlights:

  • $3 million in donations to charities in Midland, Saginaw and Bay City, made through the Dow Foundation.
  • Additional contributions were also made throughout mid-Michigan to groups including the United Way, Junior Achievement, the Conservation Fund, East Side Soup Kitchen, Girl and Boy Scouts, Ducks Unlimited, Habitat for Humanity and many more.

Employees contributed their time and resources to:

  • United Way of Midland County, totaling $1.2 million in pledges
  • Many local agencies by volunteering for mentoring programs, science education, literacy programs and service organizations
  • $1 million in matching funds for Tsunami relief
