Injury and Illness Rate
The injury and illness rate continued to show steady improvement toward the 2005 goal. In fact, in 2005 the Louisiana Operations site exceeded the 0.24 goal with a 0.19 rate. The site will now strive to further reduce injuries and work toward the 2015 goals. The Louisiana Operations Plaquemine site was recertified again as an OSHA STAR among STARs Voluntary Protection Program site. The employees and programs at Louisiana Operations are included in a select group of work sites that OSHA has deemed to be a model of safety success.
