In 2005, the site's only fine was a Louisiana State Police $100 civil penalty for incorrect shipping information on shipping papers accompanying a truck on an interstate highway.

The Dow Hotline, (225) 353-2DOW or 2369, is available for anyone to call in a question or concern. Whenever a call is received, Dow Emergency Services & Security or Public Affairs responds as quickly as possible to ensure that the caller's request is met. Examples of inquiries are delays in traffic due to Dow's train crossing the highway, a request for information or a suggestion.
